More pumpkins

Back again with another pumpkin project...
As soon as I saw this one from Mary over at SVGCuts.com, I was totally blown away! This pumpkin is HUGE! The project is from the Harvest Sunset kit. You can check out the link here.
So, a bit of a back story behind this - I made it initially as a traditional looking pumpkin, which was cool, but moving to my new house and keeping with the theme of my beachy vibe, I decided to paint the whole thing.
I have it on my tv stand along with another beach themed pumpkin diorama.
and here is my fall mantle with pumpkins, starfish, seashells and coral. (the pics are a bit grainy, but you get the overall idea)

thanks everyone, see you soon with some more projects.

Marquee Pumpkin

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my marquee pumpkin that I created for display at the Urban Scrapbook. It's  made using one of the projects from the Give Thanks SVG kit at SVGCuts.com.
I used the black marquee light covers to give it a traditional Halloween color scheme.
and embossed the side panels using the textured leaves embossing folder from Tim Holtz.

Thanks for taking a look, I will be back with another fall/Halloween project shortly...

12 Tags of 2016 Remix - October

hey I'm super early with the October Remix this month! I guess I was inspired by the great techniques for my 8x8 layout. You can check out the full instructions over at Tim Holtz' blog here.
I began with my collage, using small squares from my stash. (Remember the Laboratory paper in blacks and whites?) I added the letters to spell October over the top of the layout.
I don't have the Distress Crayons, but I do have something very similar, so I used those.
Next I cut out some foil pieces and embossed them with various folders. I antiqued them with black soot and ground espresso.
here's a few shots of the finished layout.

Urban Scrapbook's Monthly Challenge Kit - October

I am so excited for October...October 23 actually. So many of us love the colors of Autumn and the Halloween decorations. I wanted to capture that in my double page layout this month for Urban Scrapbook.
The kit includes the new Halloween line from Bo Bunny as well as some matching solid cardstock.
My left page features an image I found on Pinterest. It reflects the typical October feelings - pumpkins, dressing up for Halloween and just a little creepiness.
The right side is My October.  The Walking Dead is, hands down, my all time favorite TV show. Sundays are an event for me. I watch the show and the "Talking Dead" afterwards.
If you don't watch the show, you will have no idea what my page means, but OMG, Negan is going to beat someone to death with his barbed wired bat, endearingly named "Lucille". It's terrifying because we don't know WHO it's going to be...
thanks for stopping by, and, as always, you can check out the other layouts made by the awesome team over at Urban Scrapbook blog.
