More Halloween Cards

Hey everyone, long time no see (hahaha)  Here's the last of my Halloween projects.

The background paper was created with orange 12x12 cardstock and stamped with a few different Halloween stamps.
I pulled out my silver embossing powder and used the tarnished silver technique that was featured in Tim Holtz' Creative Chemistry 102.
Here is some close ups of the embossing technique. Pretty cool
I added some Rock Candy glitter to the background of the cameo
Thanks for taking a look, I meant to post this yesterday, but I got involved in some Christmas projects.
See you next time!

Happy Halloween Cards

Hi my friends, I have a few Halloween Cards to share with you before the big weekend. I am working at the hospital this week-end, which is always entertaining. Sometimes I get to see the "aftermath" of Halloween parties right in the Emergency waiting room.  Good times...

The bendi card on the left was pieced together with some Silhouette cut files.
The card on the right was really easy to make. I have a copy feature on my printer so I scanned the scull image of a 12x12 paper and reduced it to a 4x6 picture. I added a Cameo in the lower left corner. You will see me use it again on another card.
Here are a couple of cute and easy cards, again the pumpkins are Silhouette cut files. I heat embossed them with an orange enamel, added a layer of UTEE, then dabbed on a little black distress paint.
And lastly, here is a fun Bird Crazy card. The background paper was created on my Silhouette Design studio software, the martini glass was popped up with foam tape and glossy accented. The bird? Well what can I say about the bird? I love them crazy birds!!!
Thanks for stopping in, I have a couple more cards to share tomorrow.

Welcome to Grimsley Village

Hello and welcome to Grimsley Village.  Every year I say I'm not going to do much for Halloween, but then Miss Laura Carson at Artfully Musing had her Halloween Village event. You can check it out here: Artfully Musing
I wasn't able to purchase the chipboard pieces for the village so I improvised. I cut my own on the Silhouette Cameo and then took my haunted cottage I made last year to make the Retching Toad/Happy Bat Tavern.

Here's a patron walking in to the Tavern for a pint or two...
I cut out one side of the house and began creating the scene inside.  I used several different pdf files I bought from Laura Carson's link at Alpha Stamps. You can check out a whole bunch of cool digital files, collage supplies and miniatures here.
I think the cute little mole couple are half-blind drunk already. They're going to walk right into the stack of wine barrels. Or maybe they're going to have a game of darts, either way I don't think it will end well.
With the roof off, you can see the rafters and bone chandelier.
Mr. Wolf is making himself at home at the bar with kegs full of drink choices.

I made the clock tower and fence to complete the village scene. I think it all came together rather well and it looks great on my shelf in the living room. Thanks for joining me I would like to upload this project to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week's challenge is The Monster Mash  here
See you soon.

Hell on Wheels Undertaking

Hi Everyone:
I have a creepy fun project to share with you.  You know me and my diorama scenes...I love constructing a story.  I used a lot of different cut files for this particular scene, lets break it down...

Thanks for stopping in to visit the Hell on Wheels Undertaking scene, walk through the gates of Hell, sit a while and pick your coffin. Don't worry about the buzzard, he's the mascot for the company. The onsite safety supervisor insisted that there be some sort of precautionary measures in place in case the dead come back to life. An emergency break the glass kit was installed behind the office door.

I knew I wanted to make a Halloween Trailer so I started with the Vintage Trailer from SVGCuts Camp Firefly kit
I increased the size of the trailer by 150%, assembled the panels, and did a little rogue stamping on the bottom sections with an image from Tim Holtz' Rock Star cling stamp set.  The tree, coffin, flames and gate are from the Silhouette Design store.
Once I got everything cut, inked and assembled, I decorated the trailer with some PDF images I purchased from Alpha Stamps here.and here.

thanks for looking, see you soon.

Halloween - Tiffany Style

Here's my latest Halloween project!
As soon as I saw the new SVG kit, I knew I had to have it. This lamp is spectacular.
You can check out the link to see the whole Boho Butterflies kit here
I added my own little twist on the project (of course)
I altered the cut pieces by adding in some Halloween cuts from the Gothic Flourishes SVGs
Here is the view from the top. I used an embossing folder to embellish the finial.
Here it is all lit up with the electric candle lamp.
I used Copics and Shinhan alcohol markers to add color to the vellum. That probably took the most time for this project.
Thanks for taking a look. I will be back soon with a couple more Halloween projects, stayed tuned...

Urban Scrapbook's October Challenge Kit

Hi everyone,
It's that time again. Urban Scrapbook's October kit is full of Halloween goodness. The paper, this time, is from Carta Bella.
I felt a real retro vibe to the paper, and so, with an opportunity to do a project this month, I made an old television complete with rabbit ears.
I cut out the images from one of the sheets in the kit, and glued them inside the box.  It was a pretty easy project to put together. I used a Silhouette cut file for the tv  here, but I increased the size to fill up the cut area. Oh, and I cut some panels too, so that my tv was a little more colourful.
The great thing about the monthly kits at Urban Scrapbook is that there is always plenty of leftovers to make another project. I decided to do a layout as well because I had the perfect photo to match the paper.
This pic is my beautiful talented second daughter. She made the batgirl costume from scratch! I wish I had her sewing talent, but I'm so happy that she inherited an artistic side from me. And a big shout out to my first born daughter, she is a sewing "machine" as well. I just didn't have a photo with her batgirl costume on.
Thanks for stopping in, be sure to keep your eyes on the other AMAZING projects the Urban ladies have made on the blog. Your gonna love them. See ya soon.
